I wanted to share a conversation Wendi had with Jaron this morning when she picked him up from pre-school...
Wendi: "Hi Jaron, did you have fun at pre-shcool today?"
Jaron: "Um Mommy, my teachers made us do something wierd today."
Wendi: "What did they make you do Jaron?"
Jaron: "They made us talk to a Flag."
Wendi: "What did you say?"
Jaron: "I don't know the words were really big'"
Wendi: "Did you say I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America...?"
Jaron: "Yes Mommy...do they make you talk to the flag too??"
I appreciate that Jaron was able to say the Pledge of Allegiance this morning... probably along with millions of other Americans as we all remember the events that took place on this date in 2001. I hope we can take a minute to remember those who sacrificed their lives for America during these events.
I also hope that each of us would extend a thought or prayer of support to those who are serving our country where ever they may be...
God Bless America!

Wow. Nice post. I do the pledge evryday at work. Go America.
thanks for this post Ryan - i was going to post a flag on the blog and didn't, now i regret not sharing that thought.
God Bless Everyone!
You should have told him that you talk to flags because your mormon, not jehovah's witness, LOL
On a serious note, that's awesome. I loved singing patriotic songs to all the pre-school classes I used to teach.
What a cute little conversation. I guess I never looked at the pledge this way...but from a child's perspective, talking to a flag is sort of wierd.
Hey Ryan, I just bought my tickets to Cali for the reunion. Let me know your plans. I'm staying at my brother's home.
